3rd Annual Golf Tournament

Sponsorship Opportunites

Please join us in celebrating over 30 years of Promoting Awareness and Empowering Lives for people living with brain injuries, concussions, and stroke by participating in our 3rd annual Brain Injury Awareness Golf Tournament at the UNM Championship Golf Course on April 7, 2017. In the US, head injuries occur every 7 seconds and in 2008, an estimated 5.3 million people were living with a traumatic brain injury (TBI)-related disability (CDC 2015). In 2013, about 20,000 New Mexicans visited an emergency room or were hospitalized due to a TBI. Brain injury is considered to be a chronic medical condition that requires long-term care (CDC 2015), with many New Mexicans who are living with significant brain injury, concussion, or stroke, requiring long term support to help them maintain hope, and to survive and thrive.

The Brain Injury Alliance of New Mexico (BIANM) is the go-to resource and the only nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization comprised of individuals living with brain injury, family members, friends, and professionals, all of whom have been dedicated to providing services to people living with brain injury, concussion, or stroke and to their families for over 30 years. The generous contributions of individuals and businesses are vital to accomplishing our mission:

Assisting People and Families Living with Brain Injury, Concussions and Stroke to Thrive in Their Communities Through Prevention, Education, Support, Research and Advocacy

As a sponsor, your company will increase the level of corporate public awareness and demonstrate your support for promoting brain injury awareness and prevention, and empowering lives. Your support is vital to our success and will help fund the BIANM Resource and Wellness Centers to help prevent brain injuries, rebuild lives and get people back into the community. For decades, we have provided support groups, information, conferences, referrals, activities, support and hope. We have advocated for the creation of the brain injury advisory council, short-term and long-term funding for support services, mandatory use of helmets for children using bicycles and recreational vehicles or toys, identification of and safety protocols for concussions in adolescents who participate in school-based activities, and access for appropriate treatment under the existing insurance codes in New Mexico.

Please take a moment to review the following sponsorship opportunities and help us make a difference in the lives of thousands of New Mexicans who are living with a brain injury, concussion or stroke. We look forward to hearing from you and adding your name to our list of sponsors and players for this fun day of 18 holes of golf at the UNM Championship Golf Course on Friday, April 7, 2017.
